A beautiful, historic and unspoiled seaside resort,
Wells-next-the-Sea is one of the most attractive towns on the
North Norfolk Coast and is the ideal location for a holiday at any
time of the year. An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it is famed
for ornithology with many excellent walks.
Wells has fine restaurants, cosy traditional pubs and two excellent
fish and chip shops. Throughout the year you'll find fairs and
fêtes, exhibitions, galleries, shows and other events to keep you
entertained. Wells Carnival Week, held every August, is the
highlight of the summer and shouldn’t be missed. For a guide to

Wells has a long sweeping beach bordered by pine woodland, a
working harbour with fishing boats where children can fish for crabs
and on the main street (Staithe Street)
there isn’t a chain store in sight. With an abundance of fishermen’s
cottages and narrow quaint alleyways, Wells offers proximity to
numerous beautiful sandy beaches, nature trails and costal paths,
where it is possible to enjoy sailing, water sports and bird
watching.
The
Boat House
is a single-story 2 double-bedroom period cottage tucked away a few
minutes stroll from the beautiful quay. We are open all year for
holidays and weekend breaks. |
